Kathmandu, Dec. 27: President Bidya Devi Bhandari has called a session of the Federal Parliament for January 9.

According to assistant spokesperson of the Parliament Secretariat, Dasharath Dhamala, President called the Federal Parliament session for Monday, January 9 at 1 PM.

After the federal election of Nov 20, the parliament session has been called for the first time.

The first cabinet meeting of the newly formed Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ led government on Monday had decided to recommend calling a parliament session before the president.

According to the Spokesperson at the President’s Office, Sagar Acharya, President has called a parliament session as per Article 93 (1) of the constitution.
